Am I straight forward?

Most clients, quite rightly are concerned about cost, and don’t want the ‘so called expert’ to run away with things they have to do, and ‘it’s cheaper to do it all now’ whilst I’m here sitting in front of you.

Our approach is simple. Once we understand what your estate is made up of, who is involved in your family, and what you want to do with your estate. We can then make a recommendation. There may be one or more ways of you proceeding, but that’s your choice. We will only ever do what you want us to do. Some client’s want to build the plans up over a period of time, that is your choice and we will respect it.

So, are you simple and straight forward? Let’s see! Answer yes to one or more of these questions and we will suggest that you’re not, and would benefit from a face-to-face meeting:

Q1 Are you a single person with an estate over £325,000, or if you are married/in a civil partnership with an estate over £650,000?

Q2 Do you own a foreign property or other assets overseas?

Q3 Are you planning to exclude someone from your Will, that would otherwise expect to benefit from it?

Q4 Is a third party person giving the instructions on behalf of the person who wants to make a Will?

Q5 If you are unmarried, is your estate worth over £325,000?

Q6 Are you on your second/subsequent marriage, and do you (or your partner) have children of your own from a previous relationship?

Q7 Are you concerned about the Government using your assets or estate, to pay for your own care costs?

Q8 Are you responsible for caring and looking after a disabled or dependent beneficiary in your home?

Q9 Do you run a business, and would you want it to continue after your death?

Q10 If you have buy-to-let properties, are you concerned about your tenants ability to remain as tenants in the event of your death?
